The past couple of years my clay pieces have become a canvas of sort. I discovered the love of "sgraffito" which is Italian for scratching the surface. I'm always amazed when I scratch away the underglaze from the surface of a piece revealing the clay below. I'm drawn to the positive and negative spaces I can create. It's nice to discover your gift, but the real joy comes in sharing it.
