Title: Clara Brierly Festival of the Arts event
To be held In Peculiar Missouri, June 8th through the 10.

Dear Artmazing Festival Artist,

A few months ago, you should have received a postcard from us encouraging you to “Save the Date” for our Clara Brierly Festival of the Arts event that will be held June 8 - 10, 2012. The Clara Brierly Festival of the Arts (ClaraFest for insiders) is a low key, friendlier paced event. Our festival, like our town name, is uniquely hometown and uncommonly fun. ClaraFest is put on as a key piece of our Downtown revitalization effort (we were recently named a Missouri Main Street Connection Affiliate Community). We are an all volunteer staff. We spend the majority of the year working on this event (among others) and we do all we can to make it an experience you will enjoy and remember. Our artist vendors do as well at our festival with regard to sales as they do in the larger events held around us; we do believe this is due to increased "face time". The Downtown Peculiar Arts & Culture District (DPACD) gives out Purchase Awards as part of the festival. This year we are fortunate enough to have two, large draw, anchor acts who have committed to actively partner with us to attract crowds as well as numerous smaller draws throughout the weekend to pull constant foot traffic. If you have "heART", you belong here.
BUT, IT GETS EVEN BETTER!!! This year we have been fortunate enough to have been given a 100 year old church building (you gotta see the stained glass - seriously!) with an attached fellowship hall and parsonage building for our very own about one block over and one block up from where our festival has been traditionally been held. Of course, we will be moving our festival to this location. What does this mean to you? Indoor restrooms, more reliable electrical hook ups than generators, the limited availability for indoor booths (we only have a few so, first come, first served—we, of course, have plenty of booths outside), the ability to store your items indoors overnight rather than leaving them in your booth or packing them back in your car and an air conditioned place to cool off during set up or if it gets hot during the festival. This location has great visibility, good parking availability (there will be reserved parking for artist vendors) and a logical traffic flow for off-loading and setting up. If you have not taken time to go to our website to apply, take a minute to visit us!
http://www.downtownpeculiar.com/clara_brierly.cfm will get you the application info you need. If you’re old school, we will be happy to mail you application forms and instructions - all you have to do is ask! Call us at 816-806-3698.
Sincerely,
Brenda Conway
