Nature has always drawn me in because of its innate beauty found both in its order and chaos. It is ever changing with unending variety and always surprising. When photographing I strive to capture this beauty that so often has a story to tell in ways that the casual observer may never see. I also feel that nature art is healing and it has been documented that it in truth does. I have received great response from my work in the medical and commercial environments as well as homes.

Bio: Jesse was born in Carthage, Missouri. Many of his paintings and drawings are in private collections. Some have won prizes and awards in competition. He studied Engineering, Music, Psychology, Writing, and Art. He enjoys working in the Tri-State area for its many talented personable artists and art enthusiasts. He is a charter member of Local Color Art Gallery and Studio in Joplin, Mo and teaches “Memories in the Making” classes for the Alzheimer’s Association at Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin.

His vision emphasizes people, animals, rocks, trees and water; sometimes architecture. These become interacting symbols of abstract thought and emotions. Light as color and contrast are important like the sun giving light and reflecting off the subject matter. Often the light simply comes from within.

I started in pottery but found I don't like to get dirty. When I was introduced to glass I found my home and my people, as they say. My belief has always been to Live Pretty and with glass one can do exactly that... there is nothing more beautiful than colored glass.

I am a mosaic, polymer clay, and fused glass (warm glass/kiln-formed glass) artist. My interest in the first two mediums began in 2006, with fused glass starting in 2011 and has since become my favorite. I am a retiree of three-years and recently built my retirement home in Carthage, along with a new mosaic/glass studio above my garage. My business name is Imagine More Mosaics and Glass.

I like to draw, paint and scupt. But I really like to photograph. I love photographing textures and shapes and how light affects scenes, sometimes from a little different perspective, to make images new and fresh.


Romans 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

A rockhound and nature lover at heart, I’ve always found myself fascinated by the intricate details of nature. I absolutely love exploring the hills, streams, woods, and caves of the Ozark Plateau, where I’ve lived my whole life.

I’m often bringing home various nature-found treasures from these excursions; flowers, leaves, seeds, fungi, sandstone, fossils… anything with a lovely texture that captures my intrigue.

These items are the inspiration and foundation for each of my jewelry pieces. I use them to form one-of-a-kind molds to add natural impressions to each of my unique jewelry pieces. My own fingerprints and maker stamp can be found on the back of many of these pieces, serving as my own one-of-a-kind signature.

My hope is that the wearer feels a bit of the awe and wonder that I myself have found in these Ozark hills.

Emily’s work is about cutting edge shape and striking colors…she strives for haute couture in oil paint. She names her individual style Sensationalism, a concoction of contemporary realism mixed with expressionist and cubist notes and sprinkled with divine geometry. Emily also dabbles in creating sacred jewelry.

My works are meditations on the question of ruin or redemption presented by derelict architecture, and the cyclical transience evident in all living entities, whether flora, fauna, or human form.

Artist statement: I am new to calling myself an artist. I’ve been painting for just under a year now. I am a teacher by trade, so I’m used to trying new things, reflecting, and changing. All things that I do with my art. I use acrylic paints to pour abstract pieces that reveal something different to each eye that looks upon it. In addition to paint pouring on canvas, I also pour on vases, ornaments, and anything I can get my hands on. I use my leftover paint skins to make jewelry, bookmarks, and other like items. I have also found a passion in creating small items with resin, such as custom dominos. I think what I love most about my art is that no two pieces are alike.
